Make sure that you check your receipt before leaving the store. I had some major issues with my coupons which caused me to spend a lot of time at the customer service counter getting them corrected. I found over  $30 in errors.

Problem #1:
I had (8) $2.50/2 Arm & Hammer Oral Care Products (SS 3/21/10). I purchased (16) Arm & Hammer Toothpaste (trial size) for $0.97 each. Which would have made them all FREE. Now Targets registers automatically adjust the coupons to the price of the item. So it should have deducted $1.94/2, instead it only deducted $0.97/2. That is a difference of $7.76.

Problem # 2:
I had (6) $5/2 Benadyl coupons (RP 4/11/10). I purchased (12) Benadryl Itch Relief Sticks for $2.29 each.
Which would have made all 12 FREE. Targets registers are suppose to automatically adjust the coupon to the price of the item, they do not allow for overages. So it should have deducted $4.58/2, instead it only deducted $2.29/2. That is a difference of $13.74.

Problem #3:
I had (4) $4/2 Gillette Body Wash coupons (PG 5/2/10). I purchased (8) Gillette Body Wash for $1.99 each. Again the Target registers only deducted for 1 item not 2. So it should have deducted $3.98/2, instead it only deducted $1.99/2. That is a difference of $7.96

Problem #4:
I had (5) $4/1 Olay Total Effects coupons (PG 6/6/10). I purchased (5) Olay Total Effects Body Wash for $3.54 each. Which would have made them all FREE. However, the Target registers only deducted $2.00 for my $4.00 coupons. That is a difference of $7.70.

So as you can see there was a total difference of $37.16. Customer Service was very helpful in fixing the errors however they had no explanation as to why the registers are making such big errors. So I just want to caution you to ALWAYS, ALWAYS check your recipts before leaving the store!

I had lots of problems with coupons this week at Target as well. I purchased the Pampers wipes for $2.39 and used my $2 coupon, but it only took off $1. I had a few other issues as well. I hadn't been to Target in a few weeks so I had TONS of coupons I was using so I didn't notice some of the discrepancies until I got home - Definitely need to be more careful in the future - Glad you posted this reminder!
